I've never understood why celebs, especially sport celebs don't out right buy their homes. They can afford it. I am average working class. Came into some money and purchased a house and car cash just last year. I only pay taxes, utilities and insurance. I just do t get it.

@9:04 that was really smart of you. Just as you said, you came from the working class, so you know how it is to have to really work. Your thinking is different. When you have millions like a celebrity. You are just living without a care, and therefore, cannot imagine a life without the money and status. They think the money will always be there.

The article says he was purchasing the home and stopped making payments. Apparently, he was buying it but he must have gotten into some trouble and couldn't make his mortgage.

all those white posts in the house are hideous.

Iverson will be just fine. He is farrrr from broke.

@9:04 I've never understood that either. Only thing I can think of is bad business advice by whoever manages their money.

But he did not BUT it...now all them damn payments are gone down the drain. Again...makes NO sense. I m going to outright BUY more property for income. Why does he not have apartment buildings and businesses?

Again: makes NO sense...where are all the hangers on and begging ass family he supported all them years? And trust me: I've cut off all my moochin was family the gate...you know the ones that never pay nobody back? Yeah...do not eff with none of em

That's what I'm talking about. I will never understand some of these celebrities when they are making money, just don't buy a house or purchase some property outright. Shit let me run into some serious money, the first thing I'm doing is buying a nice 5 bedroom ranch style house, full finished basement with a two car garage on 3 acres of land, that would be enough to hold my spiritual retreats and women empowerment group meetups. There is no reason for any of these athletes or famous types to end up broke if they live within their means, and make solid investments. With that being said I hope he is able to rebound from this.
