10:23 How old are you? You’ve never heard of India Arie? She’s a REAL artist and soul singer with a beautiful voice who makes beautiful R&B/Soul music.

@ 10:50 - THANK YOU! Get these babies some education.

That wasn't the first time he's done that segment. India is reaching. She should have trademarked "songversation" if not for anything but to sell it at her concerts. Then she wouldn't have to say shit just call her attorneys. Get good business sense. The social media got ppl fucked up. She knows The Roots get at Jimmy Fallon personally. She knows Jill Scott that knows Black Thought. Come on.

Thank you, Ms. Arie. So glad you spoke up.

@11:11 I agree with you to a certain extent. What if she doesn’t care about the business and just want her art to be respected. Say her 2 cents and bounce. Good promo for it.

Black folks better start trademarking. Once these other nations get a hold of your shit, it's a wrap.

did she trademark it??? if not ,let it be.

she's trying to generate publicity for herself.

This would never happen to Beyonce.

Art respect?! This is the entertainment industry 2018. Stolen concepts, ideas, talent, etc etc. Don't EXPECT your art to be respected, MAKE it respected by getting trademarks legally. Running to social media talking about stolen ideas is getting old. We all grown adults. That being said, I believe every word she said

@ 11:40 you're right but either you want promo or you want your art respected. If you want promo don't make no big crying post about appropriation. She could have totally spinned it in a different direction. Either way she should be working on that trademark TODAY

He's doing a comedy internet segment. She didn't trademark or copyright the word. I don't think you can trademark an album title.

It messes up her seo but what can you do? The word and what he's doing aren't related.

I like music but this is not a hill worth dying on.

You can't put two common words together and call it an original thought. Lameassthinking #trademark now pay me. This is my art.

The greats have learned that you need to be concerned the business of show not show business

I like India, but I'm going to need her to go sit down with this foolishness, girl people come up with catchy phrase every damn day and don't nobody own some catchy or cool sounding phrase, I'm going to need my people to focus on the larger issue at hand, please and thank you.

Of all the things to be outraged about and India chooses this? So called woke artists are showing us their true selves left and right.

A one hit wonder mad that someone had the same idea she did. It happens. Even if he did steal it exactly sh she said, she didn't create it either. Sing-talking is not her creation - it's been around as long as music. The phrase songversation is the most obvious name for that type of music, so to claim you thought of it first is just kind of sad and naive.

No, it would never happen to BEYONCE, she takes from others too

Another narcissistic, self absorbed "artist". Surprise!
