Sad to say, I predict a flop. The trailer didn't move me at ALL and I don't see Oprah putting butts in seats.

I want to like this movie but I agree with the above poster, the trailer is so boring and it doesn't grab me. My daughter dragged me to watch that crazy shit, Boss Baby, so the least I could do is give this movie a chance. It's kinda difficult to follow Black Panther tho.

It ain't for blacks or about blacks so i'm good

Still not going to see it. Instead of worrying about screening in her old hood, she could have asked Disney to build movie theaters in Compton. After all, the whyte people are moving back there gentrifying the once all Black communities once again... smh.

Think the prior version w/Alfre Woodard was good. Not sure @ this one.

@11:52 not to be pessimistic but even if they put a movie theater in the CPT I wouldn't go and I sure woulnt let my kids go. Did u see what happened with World On Wheels? Not to mention the heavy police surveylence. Frequenting places that WE hang out is super fun....until the bullshit shows up ie gangbangers AND the blue boys. It's like mmuhfukkin Iraq in this bitch.

A Wrinkle in Time is a children's fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle. I read it as a kid and loved it. I am looking forward to seeing it brought to life but I agree with above, the trailer just does not grab you.

@11:52. Really? I'm seeing more Latino communities going back to white. If what you say is true, then that would be something else.

Compton is turning white and so is Inglewood. I went to the Best Buy off of Greenleaf and I had to go out and come back in to make sure I was in Compton. Everyone who worked there was white, a bitch thought she was in Brentwood.

Not something I would go see, but the bigger question I have is, how there's no theaters in Compton?

@3:38 PM But you still have the Apollo Theater.

No theatre because there is no Malls...hell, they just recently put one in the Carson Mall or Pavillion or whatever they call it. I'm from Compton. We moved to Carson right before the crack epidemic...it's bad there too now & FYI Compton is more than half Mexican now...tell the truth 3:50 & 11:52
