All I know is they better pay his ass for the sequel. He only got $800k for this role!! I hope he negotiated a performance bonus like Tom Hanks did in the Green Mile. I’m starting to think that the pay disparity in a Hollywood has a whole hell of a lot to do with who’s representing these folks. Get your damn money!

This movie is not as deep as people were portraying it to be. It only magnified the difference between Africans and black ppl around the world. It asks the big question of why didn't Africans help "African americans" during slavery or afterwards. It sells you the "go back to Africa " narrative white ppl love so much. It was not empowering.

^^^It's as deep as it can get. It's a fictional superhero movie, who's expecting people to have the actors singing Kumbaya? It's great that some of us found messages from it though.

There's deeper meaning in the X-Men movies.
There was no hidden empowering message. Black ppl just dressed up and talked all that stupidness about representation like there has never been an all black cast movie.

& we will continue to ride Black Pantha :)

10:05 - please name the last big budget movie where the director, writers, major actors, visual artists, costume directors, etc were all black. Please also name the last movie with all those characteristics where the black people depicted were not either poor, reliant on white people for help, drug dealers, welfare recipients, gang bangers or any other negative stereotypical black trope. I'll wait...

If you can't see the "hidden" empowering message in the fact that this movie was created in the way that it was, or in the story line itself, you may be extremely obtuse.

I completely appreciate the movie is fictional, but stop tying to dismiss it's importance to people because you didn't get it.

Zumanda isnt real or Hilman College but black people were smart enough to see pass that to celebrate black culture being celebrated in a positive way. I wish this woke generation take a nap.

10:05 with the current climate of open white supremacist behavior, Black people might be looking for at least a little relief/some sort of escapism that's not mindless trash that perpetuates stereotypes.

The movie wasn't perfect, but the bitterness in your tone tells me you either hate having fun, are a white troll who hates any non-negative portrayals of Black people because you're threatened by Black people due to deep-seeded genetic annihilation (which is the true cause of White racism) or you're just depressed.

I implore you to meditate or read some David Icke to figure out why you're operating at such a low vibrational level. The movie isn't perfect and Disney's business practices are often questionable, but your anger shines through.

You need a gallon of water, a plate of steamed vegetables, and a nap.

X-Men ???? Lmao!!! Deeper meaning? Lmao!!! As much as I love X-Men, that is the dumbest statement I've read. The two are clearly not in the same lane. Lol. You're upset because an all black cast dominated the box office. That's all that is. Deeper...lol
A hater crying because people of all races love Black Panther. That's a good laugh. I'm now amused for the day😂😂😂

X-Men had deeper meaning...😂
My eye makeup is not going to last today 😂

@12:02 I hate to be a "well actually" person buutttttt..... Some comic theorists liken Professor X to Mlk and Magneto to Malcom X. The professor wants peace and equality with non mutants. Magneto wants mutant domination, due to their mutant powers. He hates the torture and treatment of mutants, he cant get past it.- thats an extreeemely basic explanation, but there is much talk about it on tha innanets. You can google that isht. I'm just a black girl that loves comics.

I'm sorry. Isn't this a movie about a comic book character? So what is with all of the worship? Get the fuck out of here. It's a MOVIE designed to entertain people. I didn't see a bunch of white people getting dressed up in green clothes to go see the Hulk movie. Monkey see...

What's good praising this shit when the "All Black Cast" ain't putting none of that money back into the Black communities? All that money went to Disney when you dumb niggas should've been building your Wakanda since y'all praise that shit so much.

Anonymous said...

It's because Now that all the Black folks been out to see it for the past few weeks nonstop, now white folks are finally sneaking out to see it Lol

12:27 I guess you were busy every year to see all the cosplay fans dress up for Marvel movies, DC movies, and all the Comic Cons nationwide....and I saw that "monkey see comment."

Why are you in here trolling? I'm sure there are mayonnaise sandwiches to eat and cousins to f*ck so go back to 4Chan forums about never pleasing women and being paranoid that Black men want your ugly sister. Or maybe you can take the time to finally get that dog and vinegar smell out of our clothes.

^ BITCH NIGGA have you never heard of comic con? All they do is dress up as characters. Get your pressed ass back to work.

X-Men is deep.... 😆😆

@2:09 my clothes do end up smelling like dog when I'm in proximity to white trash; Good observation.

If you don't get the meaning behind X-Men you are definitely not seeing the message of Black Panther which is why you stupidly praise it.

There is no Wakanada in Africa or the United States but there is a lot of symbolism and hidden messages in this sci fi movie. Can you decode them?
