Spike Lee Does Not See It for DJango

Director Spike Lee is refusing to see Quentin Tarantino's film about a former slave who rescues his wife from slavery and takes revenge on her slave master, calling the film disrespectful...

DJango Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Samuel Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio opens on Christmas Day but Spike Lee will NOT be in the audience.

Spike tells Vibe TV,
"I can't speak on it, cause I'm not going to see it. I'm not seeing it. I'm only going to say, 'It would be disrespectful to my ancestors to see that film.'"
"That's the only thing I'm going to say. I can't disrespect my ancestors. I can't do it. I can't do it. Now that's me. I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody but myself. I can't do it."
