Liam Neeson Admits Targeting Black Men

Actor Liam Neeson causally makes a shocking admission about a racial incident from his past...

While promoting his new film, Cold Pursuit, Liam tells The Independent
“I was away and I came back she and told me she had been raped, but she handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way. But my immediate reaction was ... I asked did she know who it was? No. What colour were they? She said it was a black person."
“I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody. I’m ashamed to say that, and I did it for maybe a week – hoping some [Neeson gestures air quotes with his fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”
“It took me a week, maybe a week and a half, to go through that. She would say, ‘Where are you going?’ and I would say, ‘I’m just going out for a walk.’ You know? ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘No no, nothing’s wrong.’”
“It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that. And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid.”
“It’s awful. But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the f--k are you doing,’ you know?”
“I come from a society – I grew up in Northern Ireland in the Troubles – and, you know, I knew a couple of guys that died on hunger strike, and I had acquaintances who were very caught up in the Troubles, and I understand that need for revenge, but it just leads to more revenge, to more killing and more killing, and Northern Ireland’s proof of that. All this stuff that’s happening in the world, the violence, is proof of that, you know. But that primal need, I understand.”
So the lesson had nothing to do with racism, just revenge. Got it.

Is this part of the 400 year bondage of slavery being over. Random ass confessions from yt. So what when Roots came out, I got on the train to work waiting some some yt to look at me the wrong way to beat the breaks off they ass. They kept their eyes down. Who has never wanted to go out and fuck up a yt based on some shit they did to a black person? so Liam take yo ass on, this does not say racist to me.

Liam is a product of his environment-war torn Northern Ireland. Very similar to black racism of America, only it's religious in Ireland - Catholics vs. Protestants (England). Interesting read: The Troubles.

Liam is a survivor!

^^^^ 9:12 Ireland is predominately Caucasian and in Liam's day it was all Caucasian until the English came to take over. In the English army were people of color, the first sighting of someone different in their land. Hence the reference to Liam's skin color, I presume.

Liam has evolved and is man enough to admit his faults.

But Neeson apologized just like Kevin Hart did. Y'all wanted gay folks to forgive Hart after apologizing but we certainly won't forgive this ass, nor will we forgive Northam, but it's okay for us to joke about harming gay people.

Wonder what would happen to Neeson, Hart, and Northam had it been Jewish people they dogged. Would love to hear Neeson apologize for looking for Jewish bastards to hurt. Or Northam taking joke photos in Auschwitz.

Yeah, let's hear someone joke about Jewish people and then apologize.

Fuk Neeson, Northam, AND Hart.

His story is triggering like a muahfugga but understandable. He apologized for a story he didn't have to share. It still stings but shyt...I wasn't going to see 'Taken 22' any way lol

His movie career is not over because of this...but it's cute you think so. He's career has been over since Taken 2.

Wow, it's good to see a lot of Blacks appreciating his reasons and honesty. I assume when the next racially motivated hate crime occurs and that person uses this reason you guys will be equally accepting.

Recompense is due and I can't wait!

Kevin only HALF apologized when he was called out and his work is not appreciated!

As a black person I'm not mad at Liam. We are all human, we get angry and some of us want revenge. It's a natural emotion, but he did not act on it. And he could have taken this to his grave but instead he was honest about it. I really don't know why he told this story but it's his truth. Instead of being a real life vigilante he lays it down on film. I ain't mad at ya!

@10:05
You're an idiot. He committed no crime. STFU dumbass.

@10:21
People that are truly apologetic DON'T NEED TO BE CALLED OUT! Maybe Kevin should have said it WITH HIS CHEST instead of only acknowledging his wrong when someone brought it up. No respect for him and his half ass'd forced apology.

@10:05am What is this Minority Report?? Should we punish this man 4 thoughts? Share with us some of the fucced up shyt that bounces around in ur head so ur peers can 4give u if that makes u feel better. SMH get real.

Racist as fuck. I, for one, am SO disappointed in Liam. This is like all undercover racists just waiting for a reason to justify their fear and superiority complex in the form of hate.

ps Anger about learning about a part of history (400 years and counting) and one random attack against one person does not equate.

Silly ass black folk ready to shuck, jive and forgive all because they "like" someone one. Then have the nerve to be mad about Woody Allen and Roman Polanski still being massively successful.

Y'all perpetuate your own suppression, and then get mad when no one gives two shits about lifting you up.

@10:48am Just stop. You don't even believe what you just said yourself.

Anonymous said...

LOL who's shuckin' and jivin'

@ 10:48am YASSS! Say it again for the people in the back! Black people are WAY too forgiving. Re-read 9:20's comments. Jewish people would NEVER let him work again if he said that about one of them. Do you think I went around looking for someone to kill after Treyvon and Mike Brown? NO! Did I tell the world in an interview? NO! He needs to STFU and we need to stop allowing people to talk about us like this is acceptable.

Anonymous said...

@10:51 definitely seems to be

Jewish people have the power/money whereas Blacks don't. That's why he would never work again if he said this towards someone from the Jewish community. Blacks have no power no matter how many people we decide NOT to forgive. Ya'll sound so ignorant trying to compare the two.

"Y'all perpetuate your own suppression, and then get mad when no one gives two shits about lifting you up."

You're absolutely correct, the Black community perpetuates it's own suppression and not Liam Neeson's anger towards a Black bastard that raped his friend.

The first step to any of us overcoming or combating an issue is to stand in our own truth. This is what he is doing in my opinion.

I agree with you. I see so many bootlicks and sell-outs in here it's beyond pathetic.

Anonymous said...

@12:24pm Lick my boots and then sell them to @10:59am LOL. So sensitive.

"The Troubles" The only people of color at this time in Northern Ireland were members of the English military. Sounds like Liam was narrating down the location of the rapist when asking if he was black.

This is 10:59 - AND he literally had a weapon on him LOOKING!! But that's ok right? He's speaking his truth. RIGHT?! So sad. And no, Blacks don't own film studios but we are one of the largest supporters and our money means A LOT. If we stop supporting him, he's gone. Think smarter, not harder @ 11:11am
KNOW YOUR WORTH!!

Miss me with the if he was talking about Jews... Mel Gibson went in on the Jews and nothing happened. He apologized and went on in to the white sunset.

Black people do stick together as a whole. But at the end of the day what offends one doesn't have to offend the other.

Yes because watching his movies on firestick is keeping his pockets lined. This isn't Tyler Perry. Black people aren't running out in droves to support him. White ppl been Team Liam since his wife died in that freak accident.

Black people love him too, you are stanning way too hard. Why fight to support someone who was looking to kill you? Strange.
