The Knicks Call Spike Lee's Complaints Laughable

This week Oscar winning director Spike Lee made a huge scene at Madison Square Garden after being barred from using the employee entrance he has used for the past 30 years [click here if you missed that].

The Knicks call Lee's complaints laughable...

A statement Tweeted from the NY Knicks verified PR account reads,
"The idea that Spike Lee is a victim because we have repeatedly asked him to not use our employee entrance and instead use a dedicated VIP entrance — which is used by every other celebrity who enters The Garden — is laughable."
"He is welcome to come to The Garden anytime via the VIP or general entrance; just not through our employee entrance, which is what he and [Knicks owner] Jim [Dolan] agreed to [Monday] night when they shook hands."
The Tweet included a picture of Spike Lee shaking hands with Dolan and a picture of the employee entrance.

Spike Lee insists no one ever told him about the policy change and claims he had been at the Garden earlier in the week for a theatrical event and used the employee entrance with no issues.
