Last year recording artist Kelis moved to Colombia with her second husband and bought a farm [click here if you missed that].
Now Kelis is being accused of exploiting Colombian workers...
In a post on Instagram where Kelis was selling authentic Colombian bags for $150 a pop a native Colombian questioned if the women who made the bags were being paid adequately after pointing out that the bags only cost $40 on the streets of Colombia.
Instead of addressing the question Kelis argued that her prices were very reasonable considering their prices in Miami.
The criticism was later deleted.

Facts!!! 2020 is not playing with none of these hoes caught out there lol.
Kelis and her shenanigans are no different than Nike, Apple, and Trump's ugly ass neckties. They all use and take advantage of those poor workers. Its wrong but its LIFE. I do hope Kelis gives back to the community in some form...
This is why USA makes everything in other poor country's. We have over saturated our manufacturing in China. We have lost most of are jobs to importing. We buy cheap and sell high. You cant blame Kelis for that. This a capitalist country.
Who believed her lies in the first place? She once was a part of the Industry she isn't that much different.
This how capitalism works. You exploit the workers pay them little to nothing or nothing at all. This how Amerikka got so rich. The robber baron made their money that way and continue to do the same today.
Capitalism does not work for the masses.
Does any one ever watch these little craft projects in the upper right hand corner of this web-site? Some of them are pretty good. Just saying. Since we are discussing commerce on this thread.

No, those projects are annoying, I do my best to ignore them. I hate them.
What up with her and $150 all of the sudden? First spice and rice boxes that cost more than Penzeys, now a high markup on cloth shopping bags.
@11:30....this is 11:21 you gave me a chuckle. I just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention....lol
^^^Lol some of em be aight.
This is why I'm glad I don't buy any of these celebrities products.
@1:29 Yep because even though I respect Gordon Ramsey and his dedication to culinary craft, his dishes cost too much. Not sure why Emeril's on the infomercial thing but I'm not buying what he's selling either. The difference is that these people started in food, Ol girl started with music, then food, then reality competition TV (Netflix), and now she's selling hobo-style bags and jacking up the price.
i like the diy crafts videos
All the proceeds?! this person sounds crazy. No business gives all the proceeds to their employees.
If she purchased them at the price that the women are selling it for sure has the right to charge whatever she wants
