Mo'Nique's Netflix Lawsuit Allowed to Move Forward

Last year comedian Mo'Nique filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against streaming giant Netflix after they offered her less than $500,000 for a comedy special while paying $13 million to white comedian Amy Schumer [click here if you missed that].

Mo'Nique's lawsuit just passed another hurdle...

According to reports this week a judge ruled in Mo'Nique's favor and rejected Netflix's motion to dismiss the case.

Mo'Nique argues that Netflix showed bias because they were willing to renegotiate with Amy Shumer after she publicly rejected their initial low offer while comparing herself to Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock, while at the same time shutting down negotiations completely and refusing to budge on their initial low offer to Mo'Nique.

Mo'Nique is seeking unspecified damages.
