R. Kelly Manager Arrested on Gun Charges in Connection with Canceled Surviving R. Kelly Screening

Two years ago right before a special New York screening of Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly documentary for his alleged victims, the screening was shut down after a caller threatened to shoot up the venue [click here if you missed that].

R. Kelly's manager has been arrested for calling in the threats...

According to reports R. Kelly's former manager Donnell Russell has been charged with one count of threatening physical harm by interstate communication and one count of conspiracy to threaten physical harm by interstate communication.

Apparently Russell made six calls from Chicago to various New York police and fire stations claiming a sniper was stationed nearby and was prepared to shoot up the theater if the screening wasn't stopped.

Russell had previously sent cease and desist letters and when that didn't work he resorted to the gun threats.

Fun Fact: R. Kelly's other manger Henry Mason has been accused of threatening the parents of R. Kelly's last remaining girlfriend Joycelyn Savage [click here if you missed that].
