R. Kelly Claims Guards Allowed Prison Attack

Last week R&B singer R. Kelly was stomped out at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago by an inmate named Jeremiah Farmer who claimed the government forced him to do it [click here if you missed that].

R. Kelly claims his jailers knew about his impending attack and did nothing to keep him safe...

In a new motion seeking his release R. Kelly's legal team argued “It appears that MCC personnel simply followed Mr. Farmer, allowed him to carry out the attack, and then only intervened after Mr. Kelly had already sustained serious injuries.” The motion also claims R. Kelly warned guards that he was in danger three weeks prior but nothing was done about it.

The motion specifically placed the blame for widespread animosity towards R. Kelly on prison guards telling inmates that the recent spate of lockdowns were triggered by R. Kelly fans protesting outside the prison.
