Three years ago Donald Glover, working as his musical alter ego Childish Gambino, was accused of stealing the lyrics and concept for his smash hit single 'This Is America' from a little known independent artist named Jase Harley and his song 'American Pharaoh [click here if you missed that].'
Now Jase wants his credit and the money that comes along with it...
According to reports Jase Harley has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Donald 'Childish Gambino' Glover, the Roc Nation record label and rapper Young Thug, who sang back-up on Gambino's track.Harley, who goes under the rap name Kid Wes, is seeking substantial undisclosed damages.

I just wish they would hurry up with the next season of Atlanta.
why these dumb black people steal sh*t...smh
Be ORIGINAL and create your own sh*t!
^^^ There is no originality. Never was. Everything is pretty much a copy of something else of some sort.
The original if FIRE!! Fuck Roc Nation!!
I hope he gets his money. None of these artists are original. If you're gonna steal, make it truly your own. I'm waiting for all the ghost singers to come out and expose J.Lo, Rihanna, and these other pop stars who had their voices stolen from no-singing pop tarts.
Oh yeah, forgot about Lady Gaga and the dead girl whose songs she stolen from.
Beyonce---she owes EVERYBODY.
All these so called "pop stars" are manufactured. The machine does not support real talent, it cannot control and manipulate.
Pay the man! That shit sounds exactly alike.
Jase Harley, who made American Pharaoh, isn't suing, Emelike Nwosuocha, who made Made in America, is suing. These are two different songs by two different artists. In fact Jase said he wouldn't sue.
Please do actually read the news.
(IMO Glover did steal Harley's song)
I keep telling folks these mf's aint as creative as they have people thinking. They troll the internet looking for ideas and projects to steal.
Please copyright and register your intellectual property before putting them on the net or sharing the ideas. Although it's cheaper to pay you a fee and a backend percentage, every single artist will opt to steal it and deal with the repercussions if you sue them.
He's not creative. Why else you think it takes 2-3 years for them to produce one season of a show? Aint that much strategy nowhere. He's a IP crook.
