Jacqueline Avant Murder Not a Random Attack?

This week the music industry was stunned after legendary exec Clarence Avant's 81-year-old wife was gunned down inside their home [click here if you missed that].

Now Beverly Hills police say they do not believe the shooting was a “random attack...”

From NPR
"I don't think it's a random attack, but I can't speculate on that right now," said Beverly Hills Police Department Chief Mark Stainbrook, who spoke to reporters at a news conference. He said at the time of the shooting, Clarence Avant and a security guard were home, and that no one else was injured. The suspect or suspects, he said, are still at large.
The street leading to the Avant's posh home in Beverly Hills is taped off as police investigate a possible motive. Stainbrook said it was too soon to classify the shooting as a home invasion. "We will not speculate on anything that's out there, including if this was a robbery attempt or not," he said.
