This week it was revealed that Wendy Williams obtained a power of attorney in an attempt to force Wells Fargo to un-freeze her bank accounts after Wells Fargo accused Wendy of being exploited [click here if you missed that].
Wells Fargo is still NOT satisfied...

Wells Fargo is asking the court to set a hearing on the matter. They don’t deny they have shut Williams out of her own accounts but claim it was for her own good.
The bank says they have filed a petition seeking for a guardian to be appointed to take control of the money Williams has in her accounts.
“To summarize without divulging too much on the public record, Wells Fargo has strong reason to believe that [Williams] is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation. [Wendy] is an established client of Wells Fargo and notably, 15 years with the particular financial advisor, a 23-year veteran of the financial services industry with an unblemished record.”
The line was included for the bank to defend Schiller from Williams’ accusations. They add, “Wells Fargo is relying not only on reports of the financial advisor, who has recently witnessed telltale signs of exploitation, including [Wendy’s] own apprehensions but also upon other independent third parties who know [Wendy] well and share these concerns.”
Wells Fargo says they have no stake in the fight but want to make sure Williams is being exploited. A judge has yet to rule.

I have never heard of this happening from a bank. On what grounds does a bank have to pull this kind of maneuver? They could at least pay for the repeated monthly payments she owes, like the rent.

and if Wells Fargo Advisor has been working with Wendy and her millions $$$ for more than 15 years. they would notice odd and unusual large withdrawals or unusual activity.

If Wendy is deemed to have cognitive issues then Sharina you will need a job because people with dementia don't pay alimony! Wendy needs her sister over her ASAP and that will end alimomy. Sounds like someone has been robbing her blind and the bank caught it.
Banks are required to report suspected financial abuse. It sounds like her financial advisor caught some unusually large transactions that Wendy couldn't remember or didn't authorize and now the bank is asking the courts to step in. If Wendy isn't of sound mind she needs an advocate.
