Regina King Returns to Work

Three months ago actress Regina King suffered an unthinkable loss after her only son Ian took his own life on his 26th birthday [click here if you missed that].

And now the show must go on...

This week Regina King was spotted on set in Ohio with Terrence Howard filming a biopic about Shirley Chisholm, the first Black congresswoman and first Black woman to run for President of the United States.

Go here to see the pics.

Regina is also booked as a co-host for the Met Gala in May.

Continued healing hands for this sista. I appreciate the fact she's honoring Ms Chisolm - one of our premiere Black women leaders who rarely gets the shine she deserves. Love this for her and glad to see her thriving.

Love vibes to Regina....Shirley Chisholm was my 1st book report as a youngin.....
Regina is in an elite club. She got the right endorsements & an invite to that exclusive school for directors/producers a few years ago....

Glad she's dealing with her grief her way and not through the eyes of others. May the Lord continue to embrace and keep her!

I thought it was in poor taste to think so but here we are looking at ol sweet, sweet Regina who is in every commercial and show we could think of in the last year.

I never thought of her as being an A list star when she was on 227.
Sometimes it's best to get back up and move forward. Sitting too long in grief can take you down a deep hole that's hard to come back from.

She is a good actress, true professional and reliable all the same things Chris got solidified - all at a price.
