Coach D Turns the Tables on Southern University in Trademark Dispute

Popular dance coach Dianna Williams, from the Lifetime reality TV show 'Bring It!' is forced to teach Southern University a lesson after they trademark the name 'Dancing Dolls' and send her a cease and desist letter...

Coach D had been using the name Dancing Dolls for her youth dance team for over 20 years when Southern University trademarked the name for their dance team, who are actually known as 'The Fabulous Dancing Dolls.'

Turns out Southern University only trademarked the name for dance, so Coach D trademarked the name for apparel and dares Southern University to put 'Dancing Dolls' on anything.

The icing on the cake? Coach D is also the new owner of the trademark for 'The Fabulous Dancing Dolls.'

Get ‘em coach D…she has/had a few alumni from her dance team make it to their dance team too. Put some respect on her name.

I think now that she owns the name Dancing Dolls for apparel, etc, she has to enforce her rights against EVERYONE using the name, not just Southern University. She might have to charge those middle school and young kid teams to use the name (even if it's just a dollar). Otherwise, if she only enforces her rights against Southern, Southern would have a viable defense

LOL...she do look like baby #8 momma Eliza

Southern University should be ashamed and embarrassed of themselves.

@11:40 That goes both ways then. Southern would have to enforce the rights to everyone, not just her.

She shouldn’t even said nothing.. Just collect her money

Weren’t they the Dancing Dolls for decades before she copied their name and called her team that? They should’ve been copyrighted their name and been charging or suing her for using it lol
