Black Creative Accusing Balenciaga of Theft Corrects the Narrative


This week content creator Lamont Tory called out fashion behemoth Balenciaga for stealing his sweater design [click here if you missed that]. 

Now Tory is clarifying his stance...

Yesterday at the grocery store I saw a guy with a balenciaga jacket shove a brick of cheese in the oversized pocket and walk out without paying. Like attracts like...

I don't consider that to be a design. Folks are getting over sensitive about something they can't even draw. Kids can put a word on a T-shirt.

Black kids in the hood are putting popular slogans on tee shirts and selling them, can they also sue celebrities for having the same concept, without seeing their concept? Art should be protected, but, we need to have an outline on what is actually considered "art". Unless this knuckle head trademarked the word "free", he ain't entitled to shit. That's why he's crying on the internet instead of taking it to court with proof of patent.
