Brittney Griner Signs a One Year WNBA Deal

Last year professional basketball player Brittney Griner was released from a Russian penal colony after serving nearly 10 months of a 9 year sentence for drug smuggling [click here if you missed that]. 

Now Britney is returning to the WNBA...

According to reports Brittney has signed a one year deal to play for the Phoenix Mercury. 

Brittney announced she would return to the team in her first Instagram post after leaving Russia, and now it's official.
