There is nothing wrong with certificate programs, but I wouldn't allow her to waste my money & time for a weekend seminar, nevermind a certificate program or semester.
As a person who slaved away to get an actual degree, it makes my azz itch when celebs get these continuing education classes and act like they just earned a PhD in neuroscience.
