The only thing wilder than the action happening on screen in Season 2 of Tyler Perry‘s Beauty in Black (and make no mistake, it is W-I-L-D) is the breakneck speed at which it was filmed.
Executive-produced, created, written and directed by Perry, the over-the-top soap returned to Netflix with the first half of its second season on Sept. 11 and is currently charting above some of the streamer’s biggest hits. Unlike those other top shows, however, Beauty in Black managed to film all 16 episodes of its current season in 12 days, series star Taylor Polidore Williams tells TVLine.

“I ask [Perry] all the time, ‘How are you doing this?” Williams says. “He was sending me the scripts as he finished them. One day I got one, then the next day I got another. I’m like, ‘Tyler, how do you do this?!’ I was writing my own feature at the time, and I’m like, ‘Two scenes done!’ Meanwhile, he’s sending three episodes, four episodes — I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”

He integrated AI into his workflow a long time ago now. Chat GPT is his bestie frfr. And I caught some AI red flags in his recent work. He's just doing an outline and robots write the rest in a click. That's how he does it (and eliminates jobs). At this point he doesn't NEED to work that fast. Its a horrible work environment. He does it because he can keep a larger portion of the money for himself and screw over people of color in the prices. It’s not amazing its despicable.

Tyler “Kingfish” Perry also does his own writing to control the content of the Black woman narrative. His specialty is telling our stories from his point of view. Ain’t we lucky?

I decided to watch both seasons this past 34 days cause I was braiding my hair and needed something to keep me company! I then watch Savage beauty, which is on Netflix, which was done by South Africans and it was done before Beauty and Black and I saw so many similarities. I was like this Tyler Perry done taken a lot of this from Savage beauty watch it and see what your thoughts are.
Ahhh that explains the lack of character development, the non-existent acting abilities and terrible set design. Get it together Madea!
