Gayle knows she's in the middle of some mess. The new head of CBS is a MAGA billionaire and the new boss of CBS news "hates wokeness". Ain't no room for Gayle in there.

Thats how they do you… leak stories to the tabloids… throw you off guard and catch you saying something stupid on camera… this is what “They” do when you have an ironclad contract but they wanna catch you in a breach.

Exactly. They set you up for failure, but she was ready for them. Still, her days are numbered. I think they are going to get rid of her, Nate or Vlad. They are not going to have that much color in one show on CBS, not anymore.
Her ratings have sucked for many years it has nothing to do with color or she would have been fired a long time ago if it was.
Maybe the story was leaked to see how it would be received by the general population before taking action. It doesn’t matter who they put next to her - she is the common denominator in the lousy ratings.
