Two months ago it was confirmed that Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer and Darryl M. Bell would be reprising their roles for the 'A Different World,' sequel on Netflix [click here if you missed that].

Charnele Brown and Jenifer Lewis are also onboard...

From Deadline
Production is officially underway in Atlanta on Netflix‘s A Different World, with plenty of returning stars from the hit original series and newcomers lined up for the sequel series. To celebrate the new school year, we have some new castings to share.
As we previously announced, the OG’s who will reprise their roles include Kadeem Hardison as Dwayne Wayne, Jasmine Guy as Whitley Gilbert-Wayne, Darryl M. Bell as Ron Johnson, and Cree Summer as Freddie Brooks.
We can now also confirm Charnele Brown will be back as Kimberly Reese, and Jenifer Lewis as Dorothy Dandridge Davenport, formerly a dean and now a professor.

YAY! Hopefully the reboot is successful for at least 88 episodes to get syndicated. Long term residuals for the cast would be great!

Hopefully they can find some way to bring Charmaine back. Maybe she took over The Pit for Mr. Gaines when he passed. Either way, PLEASE dont bring Jada Pinkett back. She's poison at this point.
