Akon From Another Angle

Last week video of Akon surfaced that looked like he'd stiff armed a female fan across the face, knocking her off a speaker platform at his concert in Guyana.

This week video from a different angle shows that's not exactly what happened. While Akon did give the girl a good forearm across the face, he did not knock her off the platform.

Some People Never Learn

Akon, who just recently was ordered to stand trial for tossing a kid off the stage and into the crowd at a Fishkill, NY concert, stiff arms a female fan in the face at a concert in Guyana last week.

Akon Blew Off His Court Date

Akon was supposed to be in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing from that time he tossed that 15 year old boy off the stage and into the crowd at KFEST concert in Fishkill, NY. Akon was last in court in December of 2007, when he pleaded not guilty to the charges of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a minor. The judge has ordered him to appear in court on September 3rd for a possible deposition.

Liar Liar Pants On Fire

It's no secret Akon likes to exaggerate. Remember that time he said both Alicia Keys and Beyonce were jocking him for a date? Or how he likes to claim he’s from Sengal when actually he was born in St. Louis, or that time he claimed he was a polygamist and had 3 wives? So it should come as no surprise that he exaggerated about his criminal record to up his street cred. Remember when he first came out, he said he spent 4 1/2 years in prison for running a car theft ring? Never happened. According to The Smoking Gun, despite having been arrested six times, the only conviction Akon has on record is a 1998 gun possession charge, for which he got three years probation. He was also arrested in metro Atlanta for possession of a stolen BMW and spent several months in a DeKalb County jail before all charges were dropped. But that's it.

The Tapes Don't Lie

Akon pleaded not guilty yesterday in a Fishkill, NY court to endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment after he tossed a kid into the crowd at a summer concert. Let's hope the judge don't get his hands on these tapes.

Remember when Akon tossed that boy into the crowd after he threw something on the stage? They're charging Akon with endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment. Akon will be in the Fishkill Town Court on Monday (December 3) for his arraignment.

Akon Toss Teen Speaks Out

Here's that kid Akon hurled from the stage last week. He's fifteen. They say he refused medical treatment and left Dutchess Stadium immediately after the incident. His mother contacted police and gave them his name after finding out police had been looking for him since Monday, to see if he wanted to pursue criminal charges against Akon. No complaint has been filed.....yet.

Akon Apologizes for Trinidad Incident

Over a month ago there was an uproar over Akon humping a 14 year old girl onstage in Trinidad. Now all of a sudden Akon wants to issue a statement apologizing for his actions. He didn't do it when the girl's family came forward, he didn't do it during the media frenzy. Funny how after Verizon dropped him, now he wants to apologize. 

Here's his apology:

"First, and most important to me, I want to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain I've caused to the young woman who joined me on-stage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my concert in Port of Spain on April 12th. It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18. That is why we tried to make sure that the club did not admit anyone under 18 in the audience. Somehow, that standard was not met."

I Always Heard Preacher's Kids Were Wild

About a week ago a video of Akon humping the life out some girl on stage started making the rounds on the Internet. Later it comes out that the girl was a 14 year old preacher's daughter. This week the girl's father speaks out in her defense saying Akon took adavantage of her, saying she was thrust into a situation she could not control. From the looks of this picture, she was thrusting all right.

Akon Says Beyonce And Alicia Keys Tried To Get With Him

Yeah, let that marinate.

Akon says one of the perks of being in the industry is beautiful women throw themselves at you. He told Britain's Nuts magazine: "Oh, yeah, that happens all the time, man! Alicia Keys, Beyoncé - I'm pretty lucky in that respect, but I guess it comes with the circles you find yourself in when you get success."

Akon says he and Eminem are a lot alike because Em was

the first white boy to come and take over the rap game and

now he's the first African to come and do it. O.K. Kon, I hate

to be the one to break it to you, but if you were born here,

you're one of us. Just a plain old well traveled American negro.

Akon's Life Story Headed to the Big Screen

Rapper Akon's been getting a lot of attention lately.

His single Smack That, with Eminem, just broke

Billboard records jumping from 95 to 7.

Then last week he made headlines when he explained

his polygamous relationship with four women in Atlanta.

Now comes word the Senagalise born rapper is about to

film his life story starring Mekhi Phifer. In it he claims

an uncle tied tried to kill him by tying him to train

tracks after Akon refused to give him money. Akon says

his life story is like City of God, Menace to Society, and Ray

all rolled into one. Can't wait.
