BG Pleads Not Guilty
New Orleans rapper and former Cash Money Hot Boy, Christopher 'BG' Dorsey, pleaded not guilty to gun charges in a New Orleans court room yesterday. Back in November BG was pulled over by the NOPD and a search of his vehicle turned up three guns, two of which had been reported stolen. BG and the other two guys in the car were all arrested and charged with felony weapons possession.
German Pop Star Charged with Spreading HIV
German pop star, Nadja Benaissa, has been charged with 'causing bodily harm' after one of her former lovers tested positive for HIV.
Last year [click here if you missed that] Nadja was arrested and jailed after it was discovered she had had unprotected sex with three men without disclosing her HIV positive status. At the time her lawyer argued she should "enjoy the presumption of innocence" because there was no proof she had passed the virus to any of her lovers, and Nadja was released after ten days in jail.
Fast forward: One of her lovers has since has tested HIV positive and now Nadja has been formally charged.
A spokesperson for the prosecutor says, "She was well aware that any unprotected sexual contact can lead to the virus being passed on."
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.
Did You Wish Kelly Rowland a Happy Birthday Yesterday?
Sidebar: who is this 'best friend' Barbara she mentions? Is that code for Beyonce?
Ok, Which One of You Did It?
I knew Beyonce had some haters, but damn! Gunfire erupted at Beyonce's concert in Brazil last night. Ok, not in the concert, but after it. Cops exchanged fire with a group of ruffians who started shooting at concert goers as they left the stadium. No one was hurt in the exchange.
Dr. Dre Suing Death Row
Dre just filed a lawsuit against Death Row Records claiming he hasn't received royalties from hip hop classic 'The Chronic' in over 14 years! Wondering why he didn't file this suit 13 years ago? Could it be that Death Row Records has new owners and that if he'd filed while Suge Knight was still at the helm he'd have found himself hanging over a balcony by his feet? I vote yes. Good luck with that Dre!

Coming to a City Near You
What ever happened to, "I would rather play a bad mother in movies than play a bad one in real life" ? That's the excuse Monique gave when asked why she hadn't shown up for any promotional junkets for her Oscar nominated film 'Precious'. At the time, amid rumors she wanted to be paid for appearances, Monique blamed her desire to spend time with her children for her absences. Can you conveniently forget that she said that? Because Monique is taking a break from her both her talk show and her children and is embarking on a 20 city stand-up comedy tour!
Tour dates after the cut.
