Angela Bassett Details Horrific Relationship with Her Father

In an interview with More magazine, Angela Bassett says she never had a relationship with her father as a child, but once she reached college age she made an effort to get to know him. She says one time she visited him he offered her weed, and another time instead of a fatherly kiss goodbye, her tried to stick his tongue in her mouth. She said, "When he did that, I was just angry, and angry at myself that I didn’t slap the [bleep] out of him,” Instead, she decided to use the experience when she needed to conjure up anger in future acting gigs. “Use it;” she thought. “I can’t undo it.”

Soap actress Victoria Rowell has been getting young and restless with Jamie Foxx in Las Vegas. At a Belvedere vodka party at the Empire Ballroom, Foxx pulled his usual photo-op trick of pouring cocktail ingredients into the mouths of several young ladies. But he closed the night in a clinch with Rowell.

"They were on stage dancing like no one was watching," says a spy. "Anyone who was at or around Jamie's VIP table could see them making out. They left the club at the same time and got into separate cars, but who knows where the after-party was?"
Rowell has two children, one by jazz great Wynton Marsalis.
