Yesterday in Atlanta somebody called the police to report shots fired. When the cops arrived on the scene R&B singer Lyfe Jennings screeched off in his corvette. After a short high speed chase, Lyfe crashed into a tree and was taken into custody and charged with fleeing and eluding officers, discharging a firearm near a public highway, refusing to take a sobriety test and felony weapon possession by a convicted felon.
Somebody called gossip guru Jawn Murray and tried to give him a scoop that Usher was messing around on Tameka with an R&B/Pop singer who spends a lot of time in London. Of course the person was hinting at Kelly Rowland. Anyway, Jawn did not believe the caller because they were way too vague once he started asking probing questions and because the dates and times did not add up. Then Jawn said his people clued him in to how Usher skipped Tyler Perry's studio opening because Tameka was there and how he abruptly left the brunch Tyler gave the next morning as soon as Tameka showed up and that although Meek was at his 30th b-day party, Ursh did all he could to avoid her and did not take any pictures with her. So Jawn came to the conclusion that Tameka had one of her friends call him to get some shit started to make Usher look bad, because it looks like Ursh is waiting until after 'Meka has her baby to dump her ass. After everybody jumped on him for firing his mom as manager at Tameka's urging, he can't stand the idea of another public relations fiasco because he left his wife while she was pregnant.
Do you remember when Baby's tour bus got pulled over and it was like 12 or 13 dudes on the bus and one female and they found a pound of weed? No? Click here to catch up. For all the rest, Baby and his brother Slim were able to skate on the subsequent drug distribution charges filed against them because it was determined that the weed was for personal use and not for sale. So Baby and his brother pleaded 'No Contest' to reduced charges of possession and were sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of unsupervised probation. If they make through with no incidents, their records will be expunged.
Defense witnesses in Lil Wayne's NY gun possession trail [not to be confused with either his Georgia or Arizona drug possession cases] are not helping his cause. Cops cited weed smoke "billowing" out from Wayne's tour bus as probable cause to pull it over, while Weezy is trying to prove that's a lie, hoping the judge will be forced to toss out the evidence seized inside the vehicle - a .40-caliber handgun that could send F Baby to prison for three years. While Weezy's defense had maintained that there had been no weed at all on the bus, one of Wayne's homies cracked under cross examination yesterday admitting "Uh, I probably brought it on."
