Steve Harvey Talks About Replacing Tom Joyner on Chicago Radio

"Tom Joyner is a radio legend, so I don't blame his fans for being upset about his leaving. But here's the deal: I spoke to Tom about it in depth as friends and as men; he knows I had nothing to do with this. I was told on Friday that it "might" happen and I was out on Monday and didn't think anything more about it. Tom found out on Monday. On Monday, I get a call from my manager saying we are leaving WGCI to go to V103, which are both owned by Clear Channel. I say, "That's Tom's station," and he simply tells me that Tom's leaving."

Dr. Jan Adams

Dr. Jan Adams, who performed surgery on Kanye West's mother a day before her November 2007 death, has given up his medical license, according to the Medical Board of California.
"A series of complaints were filed against Mr. Adams, but he chose to surrender his license instead of contest them," Medical Board spokeswoman Candis Cohen said in a statement. Among the complaints: Two DUI convictions and failure to pay child support. His record also shows at least four malpractice judgments against him between 2001 and 2007.

Mother of The Year

Mel B has banned her children from seeing her raunchy Vegas stage show declaring, "I am thrilled with the finished 'Peepshow' product - all the rehearsals have paid off and it is an amazing show. But there are three people who won't be seeing the production - Phoenix, Angel and [Stephen's daughter] Giselle!"

Considering the kids in question are only 10, 1, and 4 years old, you would think that could go without saying, but since this is Mel B we're talking about I'll give her props.

Everybody Hates Chris...For Real

Chris Rock figures this will be the last season of 'Everybody Hates Chris' because the show hasn't been picked up for a fifth season yet, so he's going to make it easy on the network by ending the current season with a fitting finale. Actor Terry Crews, who plays Rock's dad in the series, says, "Chris Rock didn't graduate high school and started comedy when he was, like, 17 years old. Our Chris (Tyler James Williams) is now a sophomore in high school, so the timing is lining up pretty well. Once he becomes a comedian, the show's over."
