Isiah Thomas scored a coaching job at Florida International University by agreeing to donate his first year's salary to the school's athletic department. FIU athletic director Pete Garcia said that when Thomas learned about layoffs and budget cuts, he told the university president that the school should keep his salary. Zeke is still owed more than $12 million dollars on his contract with the Knicks.

Natalie Cole Takes Chemo In Her Dressing Room

What a trooper. Instead of canceling her tour after being diagnosed with Hepatitis C and needing aggressive chemotherapy, Natalie Cole took her treatments backstage before her shows. Nat says, “Whatever horror stories you have heard about chemo is true. It is absolutely one of the most debilitating and difficult experiences that could ever happen to a human being. Trying to perform was a real challenge. Just picture an IV hanging from a wardrobe rack in my dressing room in Japan as I tried to prepare for two shows in a night."

Case Says Mary J Blige Kicked His Ass

Jawn Murray from AOL BlackVoices dug up R&B singer Case and they talked about some stuff. Where Case has been, what he did after he shot himself in the throat and accusations that he beat up Mary J. Blige. About the Chris Browning of MJB, Case had this to say, "Me and Mary J. Blige did actually date. We lived together for awhile. A couple of people told me that Mary said I used to beat her up and another girl said it was K-Ci [Hailey of the group Jodeci]. If anything, she was the one throwing shit at me. I still got a scar!"

A.I. Banned From Detroit Casinos

The NBA is looking into a disturbance at Greektown that involved one of Iverson's body guards. Iverson may have been trying to act as a peacemaker but his body guard was involved in some kind of tussle. Iverson, though, has been banned mostly for his boorish behavior. He is a bad loser, and he loses a lot, often throwing his chips or cards at the dealer. He has been warned about improper behavior at the tables repeatedly. He is often loud and disruptive, according to witnesses, rude to dealers, other players and the wait staff.Earlier this season, Iverson caused a disturbance at a casino outside of Minneapolis. He's also earned a bad reputation at Atlantic City.

Michael Jackson Auction Halted

Score one for Michael Jackson. Auctioneers had already set up over 1000 items to be sold and had opened the auction space to the public, only to cancel hours before it was to begin. The auctioneers would not discuss the details, but did admit that both parties are VERY happy with the new developments.
