Mary and Kendu on The Sock Heard Round The Internet

Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Issacs broke their silence on daughter Briana Latrise's instant Internet fame after she socked her boyfriend Charles Hamilton in the mouth for talking slick [click here if you missed that]. Speaking with Angie Martinez on Hot97 in New York, Mary says of her stepdaughter, "I feel really bad, and it doesn't make me proud for me to see her doing things like that. Its just stupidity. It makes no sense. But as a parent, we love them through [it.] I’m not like ‘yeah son, I’m glad my kid is up there….’ Briana's dad Kendu adds, "Why she didn’t put her body into the punch…." Angie's follow up question asserted, "[But] you have to be somewhat proud that she wont allow someone to disrespect her…" to which Mary replied "Yeah, its cool to defend yourself, or equalize….but why on the Internet?! You make the bed you gotta deal with it…"

Not a Good Day To Be A Vick

Sucky news for former pro football players Michael and Marcus Vick. After months of trying to trade him with no success, the Atlanta Falcons officially released suspended quarterback Michael Vick from their roster today. Michael has been suspended from the NFL for over a year after being convicted of dog fighting, and though he's since been released from prison, he has yet to be reinstated to NFL. Compounding problems for the brothers Vick is Marcus', who was released from the Miami Dolphins in 2007, violating the terms of his DUI sentence. Marc pleaded guilty in October to driving drunk, eluding a police officer and driving on the wrong side of the road and had been given a suspended sentence. Not sure what he did to violate the terms, but Marc is scheduled for an Aug. 5 hearing on whether or not to revoke his sentence and remand his ass to jail.

They say Chris Brown had to hire a gang of security because of recent death threats. Some group called the "Women’s Protection Action League’’ have vowed to fuck Chris up to avenge Rihanna's beating. Their plan is to disguise themselves as paparazzi so they can get close enough to do the deed. Vida Guerra Behind on Her Rent

Video vixen Vida Guerra is being sued by her landlord for $30,000.00 [yes this slow news day filler. Sue me]. Vida signed a one year lease agreeing to pay $3,250 a month, but broke out after only three months. Landlord says Vida left stains in the carpet and holes in the walls too.

Remember when Brandy's mother filed that lawsuit against Kim Kardashian alleging she'd made $120,000 worth of unauthorized charges on the Norwood American Express card? Sonja said Kim had permission to use the card once in 2004, when she was hired as a stylist for Brandy and Ray J, but that the unauthorized charges popped up in 2007, suspiciously or not, after Kim and Ray J's sex tape was released. Anyway, the case was dismissed with prejudice on Monday after a settlement between the two parties was reached.

So, is "settlement" legal speak for Kim agreed to pay back the money?
