Martin Lawrence is Coming Back to TV

And no it's not the Martin reunion show we've all been waiting for. This time Marty-Mar is doing it from behind the scenes. Martin Lawrence, along with singer Raphael Saadiq, are executive producing a new sitcom for TVOne called 'Love That Girl!'  The show stars Tatyana Ali and is described as a sexy comedy following a young divorcee who returns home to Southern California and takes a job in her father's real estate business and lives with her unemployed brother. This will be TV One's first scripted show and is written and directed by Bentley Kyle Evans, who wrote for both 'Martin' and 'The Jamie Foxx Show', so expect the laughs.

Love That Girl! is set to air January 19, 2010.

Jayson Williams Charged With DUI

Former NBA all-star Jayson Williams fractured his neck in a car accident and was arrested for DUI in his hospital room in New York today. Jayson's SUV veered off a highway exit ramp and slammed into a tree. When police arrived Jay was in the passenger seat and told police someone else was driving, but witnesses told the cops Jayson was behind the wheel.

Alfamega Kids Attacked at Club Crucial

Alfamega, the rapper who got kicked off Grand Hustle for being a Fed informant [click here if you missed that], daughter got stabbed three times at T.I.'s nightclub Club Crucial the other night. Coincidence? Let's hope so. They say a mob of as many as  people were involved in the fight and that Alfa's son's jaw was broken.

T-Boz v Sandra Rose

Yesterday Sandra Rose  recklessly outted T-Boz when she posted, "Former TLC member T-Boz spent her New Year weekend bowling with the Traxx Girls lesbuns at 10 Pin Alley at Atlantic Station. Oh, you didn’t hear that T-Boz dumped her linebacker boyfriend Takeo Spikes and tipped over to the other side? Well, you didn’t hear it from me."

T-Boz was not amused and she angrily changed her Facebook status and Tweeted her displeasure.

J-Boog Finds His Way Back to the Spotlight

It worked for Chris Brown and Teddy Riley. Two days ago Jarell Damonte Houston, better know as 90's boyband B2-K member J Boog, got arrested at his home in L.A. for domestic violence. He was booked on "corporal punishment on a spouse" charges and some old driving warrants. Neighbors called the police after hearing a continuous screams coming from his house.

Two seconds after pictures of Rihanna getting freaky in Mexico with her new jump-off, LA Dodger Matt Kemp, surfaced on the Internet, so did pictures of Chris Brown and his new piece. Chris was photographed leaving a Miami hotel with a fist full of cash and an embarrassed looking young singer named Rhea. In case you didn't know, Rhea is the newest member of N.E.R.D. and she auditioned for Pharrell and Chad over Skype.

Chris Henry's Fiancée Defends Herself

Loleini (Leini) Tonga is speaking for the first time since her fiancee' Cincinnati Bengal Chris Henry's death.  Leini says she wasn't driving fast, Chris jumped from the truck, she and that she would have stopped if she could have.

Where Are We Going and Why are We in This Handbasket?

Lil Wayne will play the voice of Jesus Christ in an animated special on the Cartoon Network. 'The Return of Freaknik', based on the infamous Atlanta HBCU spring break picnic of the same name, stars Lil Wayne as Christ and T-Pain as the Spirit of Freaknik. David Banner and several other artists are  also featured.

The Return of Freaknik is scheduled to air March 12, 2010 on Adult Swim.
