has been suspended for one game after he got arrested Sunday night for driving 90 mph in a 35 mph zone with his 3 year old son in the backseat without a car seat. This, fresh off the heels of his Dec. 21 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Jason referred to the DUI as “one stupid mistake I made.” After his latest arrest Jason says, “I just want to apologize to everybody — my teammates, my family, especially my fiancee. It’s a tough time for me. I’ve been questioned as a basketball player, questioned as a person, but my fatherhood in question is tough, because I try to be the best father I can be, and try to keep my kids out of harm’s way.”
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds."
Over the weekend Chris' dad also released a statement:
"He's reflecting on this situation. He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay. This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip. If you are on his side, you are on his side," he says. "Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously."
"As a father, I couldn't be more proud … He's the light of my life. I think he's [going to] grow as an individual," he says. "He's going to take from this situation and learn from it."
Rhianna father had something to say too:
"There is some bruising. [But] she will be alright. I think so. At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world."
Some are suggesting complications Tameka Foster suffered during a 'routine' liposuction are the result of her having surgery too soon after her last pregnancy. Some random NY cosmetic surgeon said,"The general feeling is no abdominal surgery should be performed within eight weeks because of the distension and inflammation of the abdomen/uterus due to pregnancy. [Women] should wait at least three months postpartum before undergoing any type of procedures to the abdomen... They would need to get clearance from their OB/GYN and internist."
Rihanna told Complex Magazine, "I’m the oldest child with two brothers. We talk all the time now, but we used to fight—and when I say “fight,” I don’t mean arguments, I mean physically fight. I hit the older one in his face with a glass bottle."
This year at NY's Fashion Week Baby Phat will have a decidedly lower profile because Kimora Lee has moved her collection out of the tents and into a much smaller venue and she cut her guest list in half. Kimora also isn't hosting an after party this year. “Now’s not the time to be running all over and flaunting the money that we don’t have,” Kimora says. “Now’s not the time to have all these people come to the show who are coming because they’re your best friends — the people who need to be there are the buyers who need to see the clothes, the editors.”
