Paul McCartney Makes a Move on Michael Jackson's Catalogue

Last week news leaked that the Estate of Michael Jackson was selling his stake in the Sony Music catalogue for $750 million [click here if you missed that].

Michael's former friend Paul McCartney is already trying to buy back the Beatles songs included in the sale...

From Billboard Magazine
When news broke that the Michael Jackson estate would sell its 50 percent share of Sony/ATV Music Publishing to Sony in a $750 million deal, many wondered whether Paul McCartney would finally be able to acquire the rights to his share of the company’s crown jewel -- the Lennon-McCartney catalog -- since it begins coming up for reversion in 2018.
Billboard can confirm that as of Dec. 15, 2015, he has already begun the process.

No chit Sherlock - its a well known fact that McCartney is the one who told Mike about buying catalogues then Mike side stepped his azz and out bid him for the Beatles - Paul was pissed so yeah of course he trying to buy that chit now - that's a goldmine... whoever had Katherine /the estate sell the catalog phucked them...

Mama Jackson should have never let them sell MJ Share. He held that catalog down for years for a reason. Jermaine and them are running through that money like water.

No surprise here...The Brit wants to stick it to a bead man...Like, "I get the last laugh Michael" ( in my best British accent)

It was his songs to begin with.

Mike has no use for them now anyway. We leave all these worldly possession behind.

^^^Amen. Mike could care less wherever he's at.

"leave all these worldly possession behind" said the religious mental slave. No! leaving a legacy and wealth for your decedents is what you are suppose to do...no white person will ever fix their mouth to say that dumb shit. Stop being selfish and worshiping death. Leave something behind other than the bible so the future generation can build where you left off, Amen!... In other news, white people just wont take an "L".

Another black obsessed with white folk.

I don't know who is advising Katherine but that was the dumbest move ever. And of course Paul is gonna buy them. Michael saw the value in owning those catalogs and Paul has been waiting patiently ever since Michael's death for someone stupid enough in MJ's family to sell them. He probably got a phone call the same day Katherine agreed to sell.

That was the plan all along to get that catalog back in the white mans' hand. Michael should have given Paul McCartney the Beatles catalog along time ago, Michael would probably still be alive today!

10:41 you are so correct; They now have no longer term or generational wealth to pass along. I can't believe they made this bad deal and I'm sure someone is going to make a mint off the piece they're getting on the back end for recommending they sell in the first place. The Jackson money will be gone in 5 years and I'm not paying to see the "Victory Tour Part 3" with no Michael

Just another case of:

An eye for an eye!

AND

Monkey see...Monkey do!

The Jacksons had to sell because they were threatened. Music business is the Mob business. just ask Frank Sinatra.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were threatened
