Swedish Choreographer Blasts Beyonce

Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman puts Beyonce on blast for stealing his choreograhgy for her Formation World Tour...

Alexander Ekman tells SVT.se
"I saw a clip on Youtube. It was a strange feeling. As to see my own ideas in a huge forum before a huge audience, [and not be] part of it."
"I know that they have received inspiration from Swan Lake. Her team works in this way. It is common to communicate that they want to take part in a 'mood board', but it ends up taking instead of "copy but make it better."
"It's not like I have the exclusive right to dance in the water, but in this case I know that it is my choreography."
"At first I was flattered, but have since become a little angry. They earn so much money on this."
It is not the first time this happens either. I talked to a friend of mine, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, they had twisted his scenography outright. He had been in touch with her team, but had received no reply. I think this is an interesting discussion. What do I have as an artist to put against this giant artist? For her play this matter. Her team protect her against even having to confront something like this."

Get your coins young man. You're right they do make a lot of money from this. You would think that because of all the stealing accusations she's encountered over the years that she'd make her own choreography personally

has she ever done anything that is her own. I recall this happening many times. as much money as these stupid people give her (by buying her awful music) she could afford to hire someone to do something that is not stolen!!
Thou shalt not steal!!!!!!!!!!!!

she look like a drag queen in that pic

Beyonce has been stealing other artist ideas for years. Nothing new, she has no original creativity and yet her fans fall for her hype.

skipping and slapping water could come from anyone's brain tho...

She's a robot, who doesn't think for herself, let alone choreograph an entire tour. Sue her choreographer and good luck!

All the stealing Beyonce does, you'd think she'd have the courtesy to reach out to the people she copy from her YouTube/google searches, and pay for their services. Geesh.

Sorry but this guy wasn't the first person to dance in water.

Another FAKE story to promote Beyonce's tour. No one cares lady.

No art, especially now is completely original, however at what point do you cross the line and blatantly take someone's efforts and claim them as your own without giving said person credit. It's just like writing a paper, your ideas are not completely original and quote others to support your thought. You have to give them credit or it's plagiarism. You write a song and if you use a melody, lyrics, or notes of another song, same idea, right? So why then does dance not fall under this same premise? It's sad to me that Beyonce is such an amazing entertainer and she won't give credit where credit is due. It has slowly diminished her character and artistry for me. Love her, but still. The irony is that didn't JayZ want Tidal to be a platform where artist were duly credited and compensated for their work?

Now she's made you famous, sit the fuck down and get in line!!

Didn't another lady already come forward and say Beyonce stole her choreography from the water scene. Beyonce should at least pay these people.

Lol that's one stealing ass bitch I kid you not

And in water is wet news...

3:30-so two people are claiming the water choreography? Say it ain't so because if that were true than two people are thieves.

I REALLY DISLIKE BEYUCKY, but the COW hires people to choreograph, all she's able to do is mimic what is shoved down her throat.

She's able to listen and perform, like a robot.

Damn that witch! Bey is such a thief! Now bzzzzz on that beehive.

Well, she admitted that she steals choreography so why are people surprised? look at this video where she blatantly says it. "at least we go meet the people and say hi..." smh... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV5AYfVOR58

^^^^^^*CHECKMATE!!! It's a case of THEY can do it to others but won't stand for others doing it to them.

In other words, Pot meet Kettle...

I also think that it is not because of people copying the dancing in water that is so upsetting, [No, that's not original.] But rather than each and every move/dance step; kick, jump, slap, wave, sneeze, cough, etc...,is being done in the same formation or order as is in someone else's personalized choreography, is and will always be the real problem.

Yawn get the fuck over it like Jayz has to with his Tidal idea. Jay NOW can see that people can and will still steal your shit and take money outcha mouth. Is it right? No. Will it continue? Yes!

^^yet Madonna is still respected and can buy Beyonce and Jigga 5x's off of her supported thievery!

A lot of you people who are saying who hasn't played in water before. Question, who have you seen played in water in that exact manner? With those exact moves? Get your head out your ass, these routines were clearly stolen. This would be like Chris Brown doing the exact dance moves to Billie Jean, song and everything, and said he created this. FOHWTBS. You people are clearly faking not seeing the plagiarism. She needs to be sued and one of these days, someone is gonna come around and do the same shit and won't be able to do shit about it.

In every Grammy that Beyboring ever won isn't hers it because every video every song every choreography every style in clothes she stole and Swagger Jack almost everyone in the industry so she should give all those Grammy's that she won to the artist that she stole from because I feel that she didn't earn none of them she's a dumb clone they can't think on her own and her brain is just as big as a pea.

9:57 "she said she created her own routines"? She's not going to be held liable for a lawsuit because she didn't first hand plagiarize a routine.

So the people who created the nay-nay, running man, dab, whip etc.... should accuse everyone that uses their dance moves to a tee of plagiarism? Dance moves and routines evolves and are copied!

Trust me people steal from her daily. Example bootleg concert footage or songs and videos from youtube. If you didn't pay to see or hear her music and you do anyway, then you are a theif too! (me)

@11:05 pm people don't choose to hear her music. It's stuffed down our faces in the clubs..on the radio..on tv..on billboards...in her gimmicks like "Becky with the good hair/divorce:who is the mistress- made up controversy- which is then repeated on every talk show in America. Why should anyone pay to be forced to listen to that. She stole the visuals for lemonade..it took 100 writers and producers to make that album-and I'm sure she stole writing royalties for all of them.

The sad reality is that she has 18 Grammies and she charges $2500 for floor seats when every ounce of creativity in her career has been credited/stolen to someone else. She should compensate the true artists she's stolen from.

Dude, she got people brain washed; they literally think that you're nothing but a "hater". I see your pr00f but no one cares. This will be swept under the rug like everyone else who's really talented because she gets away with it all the time. This is nothing new, I kind of feel sorry for Beyoncé since she got to stay relevant to keep her husband/married afloat. Their money keeps them together, so she'll will do anything, I mean anything to keep her stage addiction high and her fake love from Jay Z. Now if everyone got all together on NBC; then that's a whole other ball game and the parties over for her cheap tricks. Good luck!

@9:57 and 11:05 pm there are countless plagiarism lawsuits against this stiff blonde wig wearing hoe. She keeps most of it out of the headlines. I don't remember the site but there was one and she stole several songs that later became hits from smaller artists. Some she lost and some she settled out of court. For her countdown video she. Copied the choreography blatantly and the choreographer sued her thieving azz. Everything in art inspires others and evolves but to act like you're the sole genius when you just copied it is lame.
Tina made a statement about how hard Beyonce worked but she left out how hard Beyonce worked to conceal the work she'd stolen.

Beyondsay goes over seas and steal other ppls work! Why? Because she and her "husband"/handler believe the niqquahs who purchase their albums are uncultured. Therefore, they will not recognize the work of other international artists. She is black when it helps her. Her sales are slumping so she is slumming back to the black ppl she worked so hard to get away from. Signed: A non-black woman who is tired of blacks electing leaders with dried out blonde weaves. I miss you Prince and MJ!

The dancing in water in and of itself, is not the problem. I've seen people dance in water before. The problem here, is that the moves, skips, slapping the water and the jumping are the "EXACT" same moves. Had they used the water, but the choreography was completely different, then no one could anything. But, this was "blatantly" done step by step. There was nothing that made it stand out as "different", seeing as how it's the "EXACT" same choreography.
