2 Live Crew Biopic Headed to the Big Screen

A biopic about legendary Miami rap group 2 Live Crew is headed to movie theaters...

According to reports Lionsgate is producing 'The Book of Luke' based on Luther Campbell's memoir 'Book of Luke: My Fight for Truth, Justice and Liberty City.

The film will cover the group's rise and landmark copyright battle in the Supreme Court ruling their song Pretty Woman was a parody that made fair use of the original song.

I like biopics, but this one doesn't interest me.

The tiny bit of feminist that runs through my veins disliked 2 live crew but I can't lie, they had some club bangers back in the day.

Eh I chalk it up to dumb youth.
My friends and I saw Luke perform at some 18 and over club. He was opening for some other act. Let me tell you, what started out as an impromptu bikini contest turned into a bunch of young women being coerced to strip naked onstage. The ones who refused to participate were booed and the ones who did were manhandled by men old enough to be their fathers.
It was that moment we all realized our clubbing days were over. We left in the middle of that mess and never returned.

love'm or hate'm that was the beauty of old school hip hop, we had a range of different artists to choose from. conscious rap to xrated rap. i miss the diversity that popular hip hop once had. now all there is is trap music, i got more money than you rap & strip club music.

So interesting to see REAL body women. Dark skin, light skin, (non-rhythm having) whites, flat butts, round butts, little boobs, big ones- LOL.

Nowadays everyone has the same build a body proportions. 🙄
