C Murder Wants To Postpone His Trial

Master P, I mean, P Miller's brother, Cory 'C Murder' Miller wants his murder trial postponed because he fears the judge has it in for him because it's an election year. C Murder is charged with the January 12, 2002 shooting death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas inside of Club Platinum, a defunct nightclub in Louisiana. C's judge is under fire because she granted Murder a new trial, after his 2003 conviction, when it was revealed that witnesses in the case had their criminal records expunged in exchange for their testimony. Her opponent is using the new trial ruling to accuse the incumbent of being soft on crime. Jury selection was to have started yesterday.

I'm from New Orleans and everyone here is tired of how long this case has been dragged out.
Guilty or not, had he been Tay-Tay from the block he'd have been buried under the jail by now.

Maybe C-Murda has a point. It is election season & the judge may be trying to make an example out of him. Oh and R.Kelly takes the cake for longest trial! And we all saw how that effin loser got off! Maybe C will have the same luck.

Corey Miller, formerly known as C-Murder, was at his Louisiana home under house arrest Tuesday after having his murder conviction overturned.

Miller posted $500,000 bond Monday night, more than a week after the Louisiana Supreme Court wiped out his second-degree murder conviction and life in prison sentence for the 2002 slaying of a teenager outside a club in Harvey, La., MTV.com reported Tuesday.

The high court ruled prosecutors should have told the jury about the criminal pasts of witnesses who testified against Miller. No decision has been made on whether he would be tried again.

Miller's attorney said his client would remain under home confinement until prosecutors announce whether or not he would stand trial again.

Miller also put up $250,000 bond in an attempted murder case filed against him Baton Rouge. A May 30 date has been set for first motions in his trial for allegedly shooting a club owner and patron in August 2001.

LOL !

The judge was Martha Sassone. She is soft on crime, and she lost the election.

The incident occurred on Manhattan Blvd in Harvey, LA. Platinum Club was tore down right after Katrina and now has a Circuit City and Bed Bath & Beyond there.

TMI, but the guy he killed was my cousin's cousin. Not sure what C-Murder was doing at the club because back then, I think it was still a TEEN club. Funny how I saw him at the Mariott on N. Causeway in Metairie, LA, a few months ago, and people were all over him like he's NOT a has been and murderer.
