Contempt Charge Dropped After Nas Pays Up

Remember when Nas was held in contempt of court for refusing to pay his child support [click here if you missed that]? Well, after writing Kelis a big fat check the judge dropped the charge.

To stay out of jail Nas had to cough up $47,249 in child support, $40,454 in back alimony and vowed to pay off the $299,000 he still owes Kelis in $10,000 monthly installments.

In the end Nas says,

"All I want to do is make music and raise my kids. Nothing else matters."
