Guru's Family Casts Doubt on Authenticity of "The Guru Letter"

Guru's family has issued a statement regarding his death and said Guru remained in a coma from February until his death April 19.

The statement is after the cut.

"The Elam family wishes to thank the fans of our son/brother/father uncle/nephew/cousin Keith aka GURU for the outpouring of love, concern and support.

Our hearts are broken by the loss of someone we loved so much. GURU was devoted to his young son, who will most keenly feel his absence.

GURU suffered from multiple myeloma for over a year.  Accrued complications from this illness led to respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.  As a result, GURU was in a coma from mid February until his death and never regained consciousness.  Early on the morning of April 19th, he became hypertensive due to low blood pressure. He again went into cardiac arrest and slipped away from us.

GURU died far too young but he was, and we are, proud of all his many legendary musical contributions.

The family is not aware of any foundations established by GURU.  We know and understand that countless fans want to express their condolences and love and, to that end, we are planning a memorial event in the near future that will be all-inclusive. Please look for further details from the family as they become available.

Thats what I am saying. I always felt he was how you doing and the
tone of his final letter reeked of homo over tones. May he RIP. I hope his man don't get too stupid.

I knew that the letter that Solar claimed/alleged Guru wrote was a fake. On your deathbed, you not gonna take the time to say all that, ESPECIALLY how good a friend Solar was and how he cared for him when no one else did; that sounds like Solar singing his own praises through Guru. I hope Guru's family has an attorney because Solar sounds like he has more than a couple of screws loose...

Guru was supposed to have said this in march:

"I am doing fine and I am recovering! I'm weak though. Solar is the only person who has the accurate info on my situation. Any info from anybody else is false! I appreciate your well wishes and all the love!"

We know Guru was in a coma in march, so its solar releasing these bogus statements. what a sick twisted bytch. he going straight to hell

More evidence that Solar is a crab nigga. Iont care if they were butt buds or not, you just dont write no fake shit and pass it off on a dying man who cannot defend himself.

Such a great loss.....If this is the actual letter/statement from Guru's family, then what the hell was Solar talking about in his letter? Guru was basically in a coma since Feb., so............What a hot ass mess; it's sad when things are said and done after someone dies.

wow..... sounds like this guy has a whole lot of screws loose..... he is making him self more important than he actually was.... so sad...

What you do in the dark comes to the light, I didn't believe Guru wrote the shit to begin with it sounded like it was made up. That was a bitter letter, glad the shit is starting to come through for Guru's family. SHAME FOR ON YOU SOLAR FOR THE CRAP YOU ARE PULLING TO THIS MAN'S FAMILY...AS IF GURU'S PASSING ISN'T ENOUGH ALREADY! IF YOU ARE BEING BOGUS GOD HAS SOMETHING IN STORE FOR YOU!!!! JUST WAIT FOR IT! RIP GURU!

I had BETTER not EVER SEE SOLAR! I knew he was up to NO GOOD in February! He wanted the right's to Guru's music. He didn't give a damn about him. just IMAGINE what he's capable of if he wrote such a vile-filled letter and passed it off as something GURU wrote.
The family needs to get the courts on this RIGHT AWAY! What SCUM!

Google multiple myeloma and HIV/AIDS. Hmmmmm.

@4:05 I've read two separate medical reports on Multiple Myeloma, which was first written about in 1848, and there was no mention of HIV.

At this point it doesn't matter what he died of unless he had something contagious and passed it on, and then it's another story.

Unless this dude had power of attorney, this letter mean NOTHING.

Mane, Guru probaly wasn't even gay. Solar just making that shit up because gay lovers have a say so on their partners will. Obama passed some type of law for it. Solar willing to risk is reputation over Guru's money.

huhwhat said...

There is a special place in hell for people who would fake such a letter. RIP Guru.

Early on the morning of April 19th, he became hypertensive due to low blood pressure.

that statement is a complete contradiction of itself... it's impossible to be hypertensive due to low blood pressure, since hypertension is high blood pressure, & saying that someone is hypotensive because of low blood pressure would be like saying someone is green because of their green-ness.

just saying.

Solar even lied about Guru's age and denied Dj Premier from contacting him. This is some sick shit.
RIP

multiple myeloma is common in patients over 70 yrs old, Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb survivors, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, people who work with leather/petroleum...or HIV/AIDS patients. Hmm, where does GURU fit in this spectrum?

This whole thing is a hot ass mess. RIP Guru.

On the real RIP to Guru, dude was a legend..It don't matter what he died from. All these fake DR. need to fall back and stop playing Sherlock Holmes. If he was Gay, which I doubt or care would it matter, would you stop listening to his music..would you of not bumped Dwyk, Just to get a rep etc....exactly...so don't talk bad about the man after his passing. If Solar is doing some dirty ish...you know the saying, and it will come to the light....

From the Mayo Clinic (www.mayoclinic.com)

Multiple myeloma is a cancer of your plasma cells, a type of white blood cell present in your bone marrow. Plasma cells normally make proteins called antibodies to help you fight infections.

In multiple myeloma, a group of abnormal plasma cells (myeloma cells) multiplies, raising the number of plasma cells to a higher than normal level. Since these cells normally make proteins, the level of abnormal proteins in your blood also may go up. Health problems caused by multiple myeloma can affect your bones, immune system, kidneys and red blood cell count.

If you have multiple myeloma but don't have symptoms, your doctors may just monitor your condition. If you're experiencing symptoms, a number of treatments are available to help control multiple myeloma

more from the mayo clinic --

Multiple myeloma isn't contagious. Most people who develop multiple myeloma have no clearly identifiable risk factors for the disease.

Some factors that may increase your risk of multiple myeloma include:

■Age. The majority of people who develop multiple myeloma are older than 50, with most diagnosed in their mid-60s. Few cases occur in people younger than 40.
■Sex. Men are more likely to develop the disease than are women.
■Race. Blacks are about twice as likely to develop multiple myeloma as are whites.
■History of a monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance. Every year 1 percent of the people with MGUS in the United States develop multiple myeloma.
■Obesity. Your risk of multiple myeloma is increased if you're overweight or obese.
Other factors that may increase your risk of developing multiple myeloma include exposure to radiation and working in petroleum-related industries.

When one is on their death bed, they usually want to make amends, not use their energy to bash others. This Solar dude seems gay to me, not to mention, hes acting just like a b***h. He needs to shut the f up. There is no need for this drama.

First, I also heard that stupid comment that Guru was hypertensive because of low blood pressure... You ought to be really stupid to even think this is possible. Hypertension is high blood pressure which is contrary to hypotension which means low blood pressure.. and it isn't medically possible.

Second, if Guru was battling cancer for "well over a year", in Solar's words, and with such terrible kind as Multiple Myeloma, then... WHY THE HECK WAS GURU ON TOUR DURING THE LAST MONTHS OF LAST YEAR?? I SAW HIM IN NOVEMBER!! HE WASN'T SICK!!!! A person with this kind of cancer for so long isn't able to be travelling and giving concerts like that!!!

SOLAR KILLED GURU... I AM SURE!!!
