A Few Words from the Great Kanye

Kanye West directed a film short called Runaway as a companion piece to his new cd 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'. The short isn't based on the song Runaway, and it stars Selita Ebanks as a Phoenix who falls in love with Kanye but has to burn herself and return to her own world after things don't work out.

N-E-WAY, what's getting all the buzz is how Kanye has been describing his vision.

During a two hour long Q&A session at the London showing Kanye explained,
"I want this to be a visual representation of myself. I want this to be the modern day version of Purple Rain, Thriller, [Pink Floyd's] The Wall.

"After the passing of Michael Jackson I feel I can't allow myself to go to sleep until I create and bring things to our generation."
of course he touched on the whole Taylor Swift thing
"People tweeted 'die nigger die, your career is over' blah blah blah and all this because I was convicted and went to help someone in bad timing. My problem is I am like a tree and I feel the branches of the people. So in one way I can express the positivity of the people but in the other sense I feel the bad stuff happening too and it's hindered me in a way."
and how he contemplated suicide,
"The times when three years ago I contemplated not being here anymore it's these days and these moments that made me feel so happy that I decided to stick it out and stick through the pain and the onslaught from the world and take the responsibility of the power and opportunities that God has given me. I feel completely convicted. God has a plan so much bigger than me."

Kanye also talked about who he plans to work with in the future
"I am definitely going to be directing stuff in the future and I want to hook up with George Lucas (laughs from audience) No I'm serious. I detest Hollywood affects."
