Rick Ross Sued by Nigerian Government

Rapper Rick Ross 86'd a post-Christmas concert in Nigeria after becoming suspicious when he received an email from one of the organizers requesting his help retrieving hidden money by transferring them $4000 in exchange for $4 million.

I'm just messing with you. That's that old Nigerian email scam.

Rick pulled out because of a contract dispute...

Rick Ross, who suffered two seizures in October, insists his health had nothing to do with the reason he pulled out of the annual Calabar Music Festival to benefit 'The Destiny Child Center',  and instead blames his absence on "unfulfilled contractual obligations".

Not so say Government organizers, who claim Rick ‘confirmed receipt of his entire performance fee weeks ago’ and they are planning to sue.

A BlackBerry Messenger blast from The Cross River State Government reads in part:
"‎Please be informed that Rick Ross has cancelled his performance at Calabar Festival after accepting full performance fee.

The rapper, Rick Ross, has issued a statement cancelling his performance at the Calabar Festival, scheduled for December 28, 2011, for reasons not related to his recent surgery and seizures. The performer’s cancellation is unexpected and the reasons are unknown to Cross River State since he has confirmed receipt of his entire performance fee many weeks ago.

Currently, Cross River State and its agents have retained counsel in the United States to pursue their legal and monetary remedies against the artist."
