The NYABJ raised eyebrows, and their profile, after awarding Beyonce with their top prize in Entertainment Journalism for an article she published in Essence Magazine [click here if you missed that].
Beyonce was not on hand to accept her award at The Malcom X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center in New York on Tuesday and instead posted a thank you video on her web site.
