Beanie Sigel Gets Time on Drug Charges

Last August, two weeks before turning himself in to complete a two year prison sentence for tax evasion, troubled rapper Beanie Sigel was pulled over and arrested for carrying pills and codeine syrup without a prescription [click here if you missed that].

Beans just got sentenced...

Beanie Sigel has been in jail since his August 2012 arrest and just got slapped with a 6 to 23 month sentence on his drug charge.

Beans' lawyer, who is hoping The Broad Street Bully will be allowed to serve his sentences concurrently, explained to the court,
"Mr. Grant has been a successful entertainer and musician in the Philadelphia community for decades. Obviously, he's had an incredible amount of success and opportunity in his life. He's also made some mistakes, which have ended up putting him in custody. He's ready to go ahead and put that behind him and move on with his life. "He has a lot of catching up to do, but he also has a lot of talent and a lot of opportunity, hopefully. So the prospect is that he can get out and move on and start doing something productive with his life."
