Last month there were rumors that one of Saturday Night Live's only Black female writers, Leslie Jones, wouldn't be back next season [click here if you missed that].
Turns out the rumor was only half true…
Leslie won't be back as a writer, she's been promoted to full cast member.
According to Deadline Leslie will make her debut during this Saturday's show hosted by Jim Carey.
Leslie Jones was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live in January and caused controversy with her opinion piece about standards of beauty now vs during slavery for SNL's Weekend Update [click here if you missed that].
