On the season premier of Hollywood Divas on TV One actress Paula Jai Parker shocked her fans by revealing she, her husband and son were homeless [click here if you missed that].
Paula tells TV One
"I want people to learn from me. Being blackballed is something I brought on to myself. It put us in a place where we were almost homeless. My husband and I are bohemians, actors, gypsies. We invested everything we had into a dream – we invested in a movie that the people we were involved with took and ran off to Mexico with. But God gave us another chance with TV One."
"Being an artist is great, but that’s not OK with a five-year-old son. We needed a house and this show has allowed us to raise our son in a house."
"I really just want people not to take this too seriously, we don’t. I really want to do like Beyonce and Jay-Z did, put signs on our foreheads that say “This is not real life.” I mean, it’s real but we (The Divas) genuinely do love each other."
