Maya Angelou's Son Not Honoring Her Final Wishes?

Late poet Maya Angelou left gifts for several friends in her will but sources claim her only son, Guy Bailey Johnson, may not be honoring his mother's final wishes…

According to the NY Daily News Maya Angelou wrote screenwriter Khephra Burns, songwriter Valerie Simpson and Tony-award winning dancer and producer George Faison into her will, but apparently they had no idea.

After the will was filed in Manhattan Surrogate’s Court the Daily News reached out to the beneficiaries to get their reactions and was told by Khephra Burns,
“We just had Thanksgiving with the family, and Guy didn’t say anything about it.”
The others declined to comment on the matter.
