Blackish, the half-hour family friendly sitcom staring Anthony Anderson and Traci Ellis Ross on ABC returned from hiatus with 6.9 million viewers up 16% from its last original episode.
But it was no match for Empire on Fox.
Empire rose in the ratings for the fifth week in a row pulling in a whopping 11.9 million viewers.
