Taye Diggs will join the cast of Rosewood in a recurring role as Dr. Mike Boyce, the best friend of star Morris Chestnut's character, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr.
TVLine is reporting that Boyce and Rosewood's friendship will be tested when Boyce gets close to Jaina Lee Ortiz’s character Detective Villa.
Rosewood airs Wednesdays on Fox right before Empire and Taye's character begins airing in November.
