Kelis Speaks Out After Explosive Interview

Yesterday Kelis shocked the hip hop community after revealing she was beaten by Nas throughout their marriage and that he is a blackout drunk [click here if you missed that].

Kelis speaks out for the first time since the interview dropped...

...with a post on Instagram proclaiming herself brave and strong.

Well there's a waiter in an Atl restaurant that said Nas & Kelis use to come in all the time and she was the public abuser...smacking up a ni66a and Nad would apologize for the disruption

@10:59 I heard that as well.

@10:59 I listened to about 30 mins of that interview. She admitted to being abusive as well. The interviewer tried to clean that up by asking is that her way of deflecting away from him. She said no. So even when presented with the opportunity to place all blame on him, she passed. I believe she was indeed abusive and maybe even provoked him many times. Women shouldn’t be allowed to strike first then cry abuse after they’re hit back. The problem with those types of situations is the man is always stronger and does more damage...Unless there’s hot grits involved🤷🏿‍♂️

I said it in the other comment section...

Anybody that knows about her and read her interviews, seen her stories, etc--knows that she has anger issues and is an abrasive loud mouth.

Like I said, she tried that shit with Pharrell and others...they werent having it.

She's trouble.

@ 11:06 Correct A parent should parent a child emotionally and financially, tho.

That hot grits is no joke, just ask Al Green lol. Both sexes need to keep their damn hands to themselves, if they cannot have a rational discussion without resorting to violence.

I hate that abuse is the headline from this interview. I was more shocked that Nas is allegedly such a deadbeat dad and she wasn't getting any child support until two years ago.

The men I know that are hit by women.... walk away.... that's my suggestion. No excuse for a real man to hit a woman. Yea maybe theres 1 incident a fight happens. Repeated? Walk away. Still dont see the point bringing any of it up a decade later. You chose to have a child w an "abuser". Thats a lifelong connection you probably wanna try to work out.

I am 11:47am, and I mean I hate it was the headline because it seems more like they were fighting than Nas getting his Ike Turner on. And the lack of fathering (allegedly) still going on is really disappointing.

Nas has issues like a normal black man, he just had money.

They where young and dumb he hit her she hit him they are both tragic souls.

Kelis is to Nas, as Rhianna is to Chris Brown.
Women who hit men, who fight men, and then get the dog shit beaten out of them holler victim when it suits them.
As a woman, I know that I'm no physical match for a man so I wouldn't hit one unless it was necessary in self defense. I know that one balled up fist punch cold lay me out with some real damage. Old folks used to tell young girls the boy at school who hits them, pulls their hair or other acts of violence is doing such because the boy likes them. So girls and boys grow up with skewed view of attraction.

I told my husband in our 20's that he can hug, kiss, buy flowers etc but miss me with love licks. I didn't want him to be confused into thinking I like to be hit.

Okay, so that explains why he never fought for his spot as the rap king of NY. He gave it to Jay much too easy and then became his little worker bee. A man that fights a woman usually won't challenge another man about nothing... not even his rightful place on the throne.

@ 3:48 Nas hitting his wife has nothing to do with Jay-Z. The connections you’re making are imaginary.
