Apple Music and Pandora Mute R. Kelly

Earlier this week Spotify announced they would no longer feature singer songwriter R. Kelly on their curated playlists because of long standing rumors about his exploitation of women [click here if you missed that].

Now two more music streaming services have followed suit...

According to reports both Apple Music and Pandora are also no longer promoting R. Kelly.

The source claims Apple quietly stopped promoting R. Kelly weeks ago, while Pandora cites their policy to "not actively promote artists with certain demonstrable behavioral, ethical or criminal issues."

i've never gotten why he has been able to engage in his shenngians for this long. i mean i liked some of his songs back in the early 90's, but they weren't that groundbreaking or anything. standard r&b sound music at the time. he never really had an engaging or interesting personality compared to some of the other R&b male singers. defeitnley wasn't sexy or handsome or anything. i guess he can be considered a good songwriter/producer. but how much does he really do of this. i heard he can barely read and write and relys on other folks get his music done. so probably more them than him. i mean he should be a singer to easily give up. i just don't understand black folks still clinging to him. if you read the court documents dude was with 11-12 years old. folks want to write it off as 15, 16 so they were "grown" and knew what was up. but he actually starts messing with them much younger. he is disgusting. and if you want to hear some rkelly singing..just turn on charlie wilson that's who he has patterned himself after anyway.

He's getting off sooo easy. They're not even removing him from the services, they're just not putting him on their playlists, or promoting him on their front page. Apple, Spotify, and Pandora are still open to profiting off of R Kelly, they just don't want it promoted.
