Brandy Re Heats Beef with Monica

R&B singers Brandy and Monica have been bitter rivals for many years [click here here here and here if you missed that], and Brandy just kicked their beef back into high gear...

Over the weekend while singing her 1998 smash duet with Monica, "The Boy Is Mine", Brandy changed the words and sang, "I'm sorry that you /seem to be confused /he belongs to me /the SONG is mine..."

Then she told the crowd, "I gotta claim what's mine. If I don't got the boy I got the song. You know what I mean?"

Monica's voice is still beautiful. It's too bad she couldn't leave those thug boys alone. She would have still been a top tier entertainer right now.

Evaporated tea...The song was/is Brandy's. Monica even stated Brandy, Rodney and crew wrote it and she was asked to feature/duet.

I thought it was on both of their albums.

Does Monica get a royalty check.

BWhahahahahahahha, well, it is hers. She did write it with Rodney and LaShawn. However, I don't think that was shade to Monica. I think she was shading her old record label because they tried to take away the rights to her music.

They wanted half of her old catalog, specifically this song (since it keeps getting remixed around the world) in order to let her release a new album. That's why she wrote the song Beggin & Pleading. This thread is a reach at best by a Brandy-hater.

Let's focus on her talents>>>

Regardless of their issues. Both women are incredible. I played this song out when I was young. Its my jam and from time to time i love to listen to it like right now when I played the vid. There just isn't music like this. There was a vibe back then thats not here now or maybe im just to old to see it anymore.
