Tyrese Settles American Express Lawsuit

Back in June American Express sued Tyrese Gibson over $71,000 in unpaid bills [click here if you missed that].

Tyrese and Amex settle their suit...

From The Blast
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, AMEX filed papers last week saying they agreed to settle the case. The deal calls for Tyrese to make “installment payments” … which is how one is supposed to pay off a credit card in the first place.
The exact terms of the settlement are being kept private.

Actually AMEX doesn’t do installments. They want their full payment at the end of the month, so he’s lucky to have received this option.

Prissa
Amex will do payments. Just call them...

@prissa actually no. i have a 15k amex credit line and they bill you a minimum payment so you'd have to at least pay that. you don't have to pay the whole balance every month.

tyrese "installment payments" are not the same as a revolving account payments, he has a 71k past due ammt and they want their money asap, so they likely broke it down to 12 monthly payment AND a closed AMEX acct.
